 HLSD is able to teach EFR, where possible we will fit you course around your schedule but normally runs over a few evenings.  The course incorporates independent study to prepare you for a classroom and hands-on skill development session with your instructor.

Our Latest grant (Project name: Youth Environmental Diving Programme: Invasive Crayfish Investigation) is for £19,990 from the Lottery Fund is to train 20 young people  (10 in 2026 and 10 in 2027). More Information on this Later.

HLSD teaches Power boat Level One and Level Two course.

Harbour Lights Scuba Diving started in 2000 when Gordon Harland, having passed his PADI Instructor course. Realised there was no club for people that had been trained by PADI.  Gordon, a BSAC Assistant Club Instructor, decided to open his own club. The club has gone from strength to strength. 
We started PADI (Professional Association Diving Instructors) and we are now a SSI (Scuba Schools International)
